Dr. Steven Krugman is a psychotherapist, coach, and teacher practicing in Boston. He has lead group psychotherapy sessions, organized teaching programs for schools and universities and taught as an adjunct professor of psychology at Harvard University’s continuing education program for many years.
He is an avid yoga practitioner and loves cooking and exercise. He lives in Newton, MA and sees clients at his primary office on Newbury St in downtown Boston and also from his home office. He is also available for phone sessions as necessary.
Dr. Krugman brings many years of experience to his practice. He specializes in life coaching, working with growing and successful people who are trying to become better in learners, earners and lovers. He reads an enormous amount and is an incredibly patient and thoughtful listener and motivator (so thinks his son Jason, creator of this website).
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Dr. Krugman focused on racial integration of the Boston Public Schools and was a community organizer in New York City. After earning his PhD from NYU in 1970, he focused on the effects of trauma on men and boys, developing models for treatments and becoming deeply educated in the developing field. More recently, Dr. Krugman has specialized in emerging theories of mentalization and helping people to process difficult issues while living highly functional and fast paced lives. He has served as a mentor for numerous young practitioners and remains up to date with the most recent theories within the fields of psychotherapy and medicine.
